VOICES December Highlights

Thank you to all who sponsored our 21st Anniversary Gala. It was an inspirational evening and we are delighted to share some of the highlights.

Our annual appeal has been mailed, so be on the lookout among your holiday cards! The VOICES family is grateful to all who contribute as we renew our commitment to build resilience in the lives of those we serve.

This month we are providing support programs to promote well-being during the hustle and bustle of the season. Take a moment during the holiday to visit our Living Memorial and leave a reflection of your friend or loved one.

As always, feel free to contact our office if we can be of assistance.

VOICES 21st Anniversary Always Remember Gala was held at the New York Athletic Club on November 16. Once again, we were delighted to have ESPN’s Mike Greenberg orchestrate what was truly an inspirational evening!

VOICES 2022 Legacy Award was presented to former NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton. Former FDNY Commissioner Tom Von Essen was honored with VOICES 2022 Leadership Award. John Miller, NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism (retired), offered his personal perspectives.

The event included exceptional musical performances that added to the ambiance of the evening. Take a moment to view VOICES 21st Anniversary Gala Video and photo gallery.

VOICES 9/11 Living Memorial is honoring the lives of those who have died of 9/11-related illness

VOICES 9/11 Living Memorial is expanding to honor the 5,400 responders and survivors who have died of 9/11-related illness. The original Living Memorial, launched in 2006, is an online collection of over 87,000 photographs that honors the 2,977 lives lost on 9/11 and the 6 individuals and unborn child that died in the 1993 bombing.

We are honored to begin working with families of the responders and survivors to ensure their lives are honored in a meaningful way. While you are gathering with families and friends, consider participating in the Living Memorial Project by providing photographs of your loved one.

To create a Living Memorial page, or add to an existing memorial, complete the submission form and upload photographs - click here.

Take a few moments during the holiday season to visit the Living Memorial and post reflections in your loved one's guestbook at 911livingmemorial.org.

If you have questions, contact Stephanie Landau at slandau@voicescenter.org or call the office at 203-966-3911.
