VOICES announces our third annual Always Remember Benefit Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair will be the keynote speaker at the Voices of September 11th third annual Always Remember Benefit, to be held in New York City on Monday, June 14, 2010. President Bill Clinton is the Honorary Chairman. As you may have heard, plans to build a Muslim Community Center in Lower Manhattan, just a few blocks from the WTC site, progressed when the Landmark Preservation Commission denied granting the building landmark status. This month VOICES welcomes our summer interns! After a brief orientation, they began working on a range of projects, most importantly preparing for our third annual Always Remember Benefit. On Sunday, May 2nd sixty-nine energetic cyclists from across the US and Canada rode on behalf of VOICES in the TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour. Several cyclists participated in memory of loved ones lost on 9/11. In addition, members of various police and fire departments participated in honor of their fallen colleagues. Learn More.
