We are pleased to announce that Voices of September 11th has been awarded a grant which will fund a program to inform 9/11 rescue and recovery workers and other survivors about their potential eligibility for health care benefits to address their 9/11-related medical and mental health issues.

As we begin our work in the New Year, it energizes us to see how many people believe in the value of our mission: to provide assistance to the 9/11 community and to share our expertise with others whose lives have been impacted by traumatic events.

At this special time of year, we especially remember the families in Newtown, Connecticut and those impacted by Hurricane Sandy. We hold them close to our hearts and hope they find strength and solace from the outpouring of support from around the nation.

This weekend we had an opportunity to spend two days in Sandy Hook and offer our support. As you can imagine, the community is still in shock over the tragic loss of the young children and teachers who heroically protected their classrooms.
