Responders and survivors of the attacks on the World Trade Center now have a new source of help in the process of applying for the medical and mental health coverage provided under the James Zadroga Law. Voices of September 11th has created a Call Center to answer questions about the World Trade Center Health Program and to provide assistance in the application process.

Make January your "Get Organized" month! Professional Organizer, Joan Melroy, will conduct this workshop that explores why people accumulate so many things, how to look at organizing it, and ways to release or store what you have.

There will be an information forum on January 30th that will be of particular interest to those who qualify for compensation through the James Zadroga Health and Compensation Act. This forum will inform attendees about the status of the Victims Compensation Fund and will include a discussion of the filing process.

We are pleased to announce that Voices of September 11th has been awarded a grant which will fund a program to inform 9/11 rescue and recovery workers and other survivors about their potential eligibility for health care benefits to address their 9/11-related medical and mental health issues.

At this special time of year, we especially remember the families in Newtown, Connecticut and those impacted by Hurricane Sandy. We hold them close to our hearts and hope they find strength and solace from the outpouring of support from around the nation.

This weekend we had an opportunity to spend two days in Sandy Hook and offer our support. As you can imagine, the community is still in shock over the tragic loss of the young children and teachers who heroically protected their classrooms.
