FDNY EMT who responded to 9/11 dies of coronavirus
John Redd, an FDNY EMT who gave first-aid instruction to panicked 911 callers waiting for an ambulance has died of complications from coronavirus, the FDNY said Tuesday. He was 63. Redd was a 26-year veteran of the FDNY and took part in rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center on 9/11. More.
