Could playing TETRIS banish bad memories? Retro Nintendo game 'reduces the risk of post-traumatic stress disorder'

The memory of traumatic event - such as a car crash or being the victim of a violent crime - can cement itself in your mind within a matter of hours. But a new study has found that playing the 90s Tetris game immediately after an upsetting event can lower the number of flashbacks. And researchers say the effect is so powerful, it can even work a day after the event when it is believed the memories should well-established and harder to shift.

A 63-year-old businessman inspired by the heroism of firefighters during 9/11 has chosen to honor them by amassing a $1million collection of 450 firetrucks. Andrew Leider started purchasing old fire trucks 13 years ago after working with firefighters during the terrorist attack. Post-traumatic stress disorder can wreak havoc on a person's ability to deal with small disturbances, such as a loud noise or an upsetting story in the news, and it can keep them from getting good sleep. There will be an official groundbreaking Wednesday for a Sept. 11 memorial sculpture at the County Justice center in Doylestown. The Renew. Resolve. Remember. sculpture, which will incorporate an I-beam from the World Trade Center, is being gifted to Bucks County by the Travis Manion Foundation. It will be located at the county Justice Center. 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit to be in Sylvan Beach

The 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit will be open for viewing in the Sylvan Beach Village Park beginning Sunday. The exhibit, which was created in 2013 by the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, is a tribute to all whose lives were sacrificed on Sept. 11, 2001, including the 342 firefighters who died trying to rescue others.
