  • United Way recognizes VOICES Volunteer, Colleen McGinley
    In celebration of National Volunteer Week, the United Way of Central Jersey hosted an Awards Presentation and Dinner Reception on April 15, 2010 at Hess Corporate Center, Woodbridge, NJ. We are very proud that one of VOICES' dedicated volunteers, Miss Colleen McGinley, was recognized as a 2010 Hometown Hero by the United Way of Central Jersey for the work that she has done in our New Jersey office in Middlesex County. "Colleen is a very compassionate young woman who has made many important contributions to our organization. We are grateful for her time and dedication.
  • VOICES Hosts College Scholarship Forum
    VOICES hosted a Scholarship Forum at our New Brunswick, NJ office on March 23rd, where parents and students learned about scholarship opportunities and the application process. The event featured presentations by Ms. Rhianna Quinn Roddy, Executive Director of the Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund and Ms. Carolann Pierre-Morgan, Assistant Funds Manager at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.   • September 11th: How We Remember Exhibit
    Throughout the month of March, VOICES honored the lives of those who died, those who survived, and those who came to their rescue through a 9/11 Living Memorial Exhibit, which was held at the New Brunswick, NJ Free Public Library. The exhibit, entitled "September 11th: How We Remember" commenced with opening ceremonies on March 6th which included an interactive discussion between members of the 9/11 community and members of the New Brunswick community.
