Steve Brickman of Jamesport, a retired FDNY firefighter who spent nearly two weeks at ground zero following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, died Sunday of illness attributed to 9/11, according to the FDNY. A beloved FDNY battalion chief from Staten Island who lost his son on 9/11 has died of coronavirus. Al Petrocelli succumbed to the virus on Wednesday morning. He was 73 years old. Petrocelli went to his doctor on March 17 complaining of fatigue — he was sleeping around the clock, his wife Ginger told the Staten Island Advance.
