News Woman starts nonprofit to help families cope with tragedy

A New Canaan woman who lost her son on Sept. 11 founded a nonprofit organization to help families deal with tragedy. Mary Fetchet's son, Brad, worked on the 89th floor of the South Tower. Brad was 24 years old when he died and was a graduate of New Canaan High School and Bucknell University. More.

New Canaan Anniversary Program To Focus On The Three R's Of Sept. 11

For the first time ever, to recognize the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 tragedy, Grace Farms Foundation of New Canaan is collaborating with Voices of September 11th for a special event focused on remembrance, renewal and resilience. The program will take place Monday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Grace Farms Sanctuary in New Canaan. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. More.

New York Giants Legend George Martin Speaks at VOICES Charity Golf Tournament

Next month, New York Giants legend George Martin speaks at an event meant to continually support those affected by the September 11th tragedy. He is speaking at the 2nd annual Voices of September 11th charity golf outing on September 6th. The event will be held at The Country Club of Fairfield in Connecticut. Golf Digest has rated it the second best course in the state. More.

Voices of September 11th to host symposium

Voices of September 11th (VOICES) will host its annual New Jersey symposium, "Promoting Resilience in Communities Impacted by Trauma," on April 6. The all-day symposium, to be held at the Livingston Campus Student Center at Rutgers University in Piscataway, features presentations and panel discussions led by subject matter experts and clinicians working in the field of trauma, grief and disaster mental health.
