In advance of a June 11 hearing on legislation to ensure first responders and survivors of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center continue to receive the monitoring and care they need, U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone Jr., D-N.J., 6th District, toured and held a press conference Monday at the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program clinic at Rutgers.

An ad hoc group of supporters are planning to construct a September 11 memorial park adjacent to the fire station on North Putt Corners Road and Henry Dubois Drive. Supporter Butch Dener on Friday said efforts are being made to have the park opened by the anniversary this year and has gotten the support of several organizations.
