VOICES provides long-term support and resources that promote mental health care and wellness, for victims’ families, responders, survivors, and families of those who have died of 9/11 related illnesses; and assists communities in preparing for and recovering from tragedy.

September is National Preparedness Month, and the American Red Cross is sharing tips on how people can prepare before a disaster or emergency occurs. The organization urges families to take action now, saying disasters can strike anytime and anywhere. More.

Bipartisan bill seeks FEMA reimbursement for 9/11 first responder pensions

The bipartisan measure would seek an estimated $3.1 billion from FEMA for pension payments tied to 9/11-related deaths and disabilities among firefighters, police officers and other public employees. More.
