9/11 artwork of North Country veteran students to be displayed in London

A touch of the North Country will be included in a worldwide memorial to honor the 20th anniversary of 9/11. The artwork of seven Jefferson Community College veteran students have been selected by the U.S. Department of State to be included in the “And Yet We Rise: 20 Years Remembrance and Reflection of September 11” exhibit in London. Tickets for 9/11 event available

Free tickets will be available beginning Sunday for the upcoming Central Pennsylvania commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks. The community event – rooted in faith, patriotism, and civic pride – will be held at 7 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Jaffa Shrine Center in Altoona. More.

The Dysart Unified School District and The Vista Center for the Arts are seeking artists for the inaugural Surprise Mayor’s Exhibit: A Tribute To Our Heroes. 9/11 Memorial in Anderson to be held through Sunday

The Northern California Veterans Museum and Heritage Center has partnered with Romans Warrior Foundation to host a 9/11 memorial through Sunday. The memorial is called the "Wall of Remembrance" and is a two-sided wall commemorating those who lost their lives on 9/11, during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and from the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. A World Trade Center replica that provides a 360-degree view of the buildings prior to 9/11 will soon be on display in Ohio. The National Veterans Memorial and Museum in Columbus, Ohio, partnered with Honor365 to bring the exhibit "20 Years: Remembering the One. Remembering Them All" to the state on Aug. 4. More.
