  • Bergen County September 11th Memorial Commemorations
    Bergen County will remember those lost on 9/11 and acknowledge the military heroes who died in serving our country since the attacks. A ceremony will take place on September 11th at 11:30 am in Hackensack. A second ceremony will take place in Leonia on September 15th. All Bergen County residents, employees, first responders, uniformed personnel and veterans are invited to attend. Learn More.
  • VOICES Interns Interview Reporters
    Student interns from Voices of September 11th traveled to the New York City offices of CBS News on August 6th to learn firsthand about the challenge of reporting on the 9/11 attacks. The interviewees included New Canaan resident Jeff Fager, Chairman of CBS News and Executive Editor for "60 Minutes," Jim Axelrod, Anchorman and Correspondent for CBS News; Bill Owens, Executive Editor for "60 Minutes;" and Tom Anderson, Producer for "60 Minutes."   • Tuesday's Children Offers Camp Tuesday's Champions!
    CampTC will be an enriching four-day program that brings together children of Tuesday's Children, ages 10-15, for workshops in art, music, drama and sports as well as campfires, water activities, adventure courses, nature walks, scavenger hunts and much more! Professional staff members will facilitate each workshop. Dedicated counselors will coordinate the schedule for the campers. To ensure a safe and fun community for each child, a clinician and a nurse will be on site at all times.
  • 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund Educational Session
    An educational session on the Victim Compensation Forum will be held in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn on Wednesday, August 7 from 6:00 - 8:00pm. 9/11 responders, workers and volunteers are invited to attend. The participants will answer questions about the application process and the distribution of awards. The deadline to apply to the Victim Compensation Fund is October 3, 2013.   • "Harlem Got Talent" Summer Program
    Family member Clyde Frazier, Sr. asked us to share news about an organization that he is supporting, "Harlem Got Talent." The students are working this summer with Musical Director, Hal Kresner. They are learning to sing, play instruments and create dance routines, beginning with "Stand By Me." They meet every Tuesday all summer to give the students an activity while school is out.
